Welcome to Sheppard!

Welcome to Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, the most diverse training installation in the Air Force and home to the 82nd Training Wing and the 80th Flying Training Wing.

The 82nd Training Wing — "Logistics University" — is the largest technical training operation in the Air Force and provides training in more than 900 formal officer and enlisted courses covering aircraft maintenance, logistics and civil engineering specialties along with some cyber and ICBM maintenance courses. Our 60-plus worldwide locations train more than 60,000 Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors and Marines annually, almost half of all AETC tech training graduates.

The 80th Flying Training Wing hosts the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training Program. The only program of its kind in the world, ENJJPT is a true partnership where all aspects of the mission — students, instructors, leadership, resources and costs -- are shared among the 14 partner nations, which include Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Italy, The Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Together, Sheppard's two wings build on a legacy of training excellence at Sheppard, which has delivered more than 7 million trained warriors for the U.S. and its allies since it was established in 1941, which is why our motto is "Combat Capability Starts Here!"

Below you will find links that lead to valuable information that will assist you whether you are a permanent party member, tech training student, undergraduate pilot training student, military, civilian or family member. From reporting instructions to housing information to medical care and family services, you'll find information here.

It's my sincere pleasure to welcome you and your family to Sheppard and North Texas, and to a unique opportunity to help shape the future of our Air Force as we Train, Develop and Inspire the Warriors of tomorrow!
