The Military Health System is modernizing TRICARE to better serve you and respond to changes in law and policy. Join us for our next webinar on Thursday, Oct. 5, from 1 to 2 p.m. (EDT) to learn how TRICARE is changing and how to prepare for these changes. Registration is limited.

In this webinar, presenters will discuss key changes to the TRICARE benefit beginning in January 2018, including:

  • Reduction of Three TRICARE Regions to Two: There are currently three TRICARE regions in the U.S.: North, South and West. These three regions will become two on Jan. 1, 2018. The North and South regions will combine to form the East region. The West region will remain the same.
  • Introduction of TRICARE Select: TRICARE Select will replace TRICARE Standard both stateside and overseas.
  • Enrollment Changes: Beneficiaries enrolled in a TRICARE program as of Dec. 31, 2017 will transition to their respective plans on Jan. 1, 2018. If you have TRICARE Prime, you’ll remain in TRICARE Prime. If you have TRICARE Standard, you’ll be converted to TRICARE Select.
  • Updated Costs: New TRICARE Prime and TRICARE Select out-of-pocket costs will take effect Jan. 1, 2018.

For more information about these changes, join us on Oct. 5 and visit the TRICARE website.
