McCal takes command of 82nd Medical Group

SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas. --

Col. Kevin McCal took command of the 82nd Medical Group during a change of command ceremony at Sheppard Air Force Base June 11, 2018.

Col. Scott Belanger, 82nd Training Wing vice commander, officiated the ceremony, during which Col. Sally Kelly-Rank relinquished command.

 

In his remarks, McCal, who came from Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, recognized those who organized and participated in the ceremony and spoke about his gratitude for the warm welcome to Sheppard.

 

“To the men and women of the 82nd Medical Group, I am honored to be a part of your team and I look forward to the journey we will travel together over the next couple of years," he said.

 

Before giving the stage to McCal, Kelly-Rank spoke about the ways her time at Sheppard was made special by Team Sheppard and her hope that McCal would enjoy his time as commander.
