Bimbo Bakeries USA recalls bread

Bimbo Bakeries USA initiated a regional recall of bread products due to the possible presence of glass caused by a broken light bulb at one of its bakeries.

The company announced the recall after receiving three consumer reports of small fragments of glass found on the outside of the bread.

The recalled products are breads under the brand names of Sara Lee, Kroger, Bimbo, Nature's Harvest, Great Value and L'Oven Fresh with "Best By" date of Aug. 29, 2015, through Sept. 1, 2015.

The recalled packages also contain the bakery code 1658 next to the printed "Best By" date.

Public Health has confirmed this was sold on Sheppard; Sara Lee Classic Whole Wheat Bread UPC 7294560134.

All of the products within the recall were removed from store shelves and here are no reports of injury.
