Kashi Company Recall: Variety of Products with Potential Listeria

Kashi Company is voluntarily recalling a variety of products due to the potential health risk from an ingredient supplier, SunOpta. The recall includes two varieties of Snack Bars and two varieties of Bear Naked Granola that consist of ingredients from the sunflower seed supplier, SunOpta. Kashi Company is expanding its previously announced Snack Bar recall to combine with additional potentially affected products.

When the organism Listeria monocytogenes contaminates food and is consumed, a serious infection of Listeriosis is possible. Healthy individuals may experience short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. However, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
