Tri-Union Seafoods LLC Recalls Chicken of the Sea 5 oz. Canned Tuna

On March 17, 2016, Tri-Union Seafoods LLC voluntarily recalled 2,745 cases

(equal to 107,280 cans) of Chicken of the Sea brand 5 oz. canned chunk light

tuna in oil and 5 oz. canned chunk light tuna in water because they may have

been potentially under processed.

 

Under processed or under cooked food can be extremely dangerous if consumed.

If the food wasn't processed correctly, spoilage organisms or pathogens

could potentially be found within the product which could lead to a

life-threatening illness if consumed. Some key things to be aware of about

this product are listed below:

 

. These products have a long shelf life and may still be in your homes.

. If you own a recalled product, please, DO NOT consume. Discard the product.

 

The recalled products were available for purchase nationwide in many retail

stores.  A list of the recalled Tri-Union Seafoods LLC products is available
