EVENT: 59th Annual Pancake Festival
REQUEST: Volunteers needed to work 3-4 hour shifts; cooking or serving sausages, pouring drinks, crowd control, cleaning tables or other similar tasks necessary to serve the 14,000 people expected to attend the event. families are welcome
DATES/TIMES: Saturday, January 31 2015/ shift times are from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can set your own shift
LOCATION: Birdwell Ag Barn, one of the MPEC Buildings in Wichita Falls
MISC INFO: Free pancake meals for volunteers
ATTIRE: Dress comfortable, a head cover is required, so your hat or one of ours (paper).  There is no heat in the building so dress according to the weather

EVENT: Jerry's Sporting Goods Annual Softball Tournament
REQUEST: field maintenance volunteers, concession volunteers and entry gate volunteers
EVENT DATES/TIMES: Wed, Feb 25 -   5:00-8:00pm field maintenance only @Burkburnett City Softball Complex; Thurs, Feb 26 -  shifts from 9:00am - 9:00pm gate, concession, field maintenance; Fri, Feb 27 - shifts from 9:00am - 9:00pm gate, concession, field maintenance; Sat, Feb 28 - shifts from 9:00am - 9:00pm - gate, concession, field maintenance
LOCATION Burkburnett High School and Burkburnett City softball complexes

EVENT: TMSCA Math / Science Meet
REQUEST: Volunteers to help monitor students as they take tests in Math and Science AND to help grade the tests as they are completed.
EVENT DATE/TIME: February 28, 2015 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
VOLUNTEER TIME: 8 - noon
LOCATION: Kirby Junior High -- 1715 Loop 11, Wichita Falls, TX 76306
MISC INFO: Our Math/Science team is hosting a State Qualifying Meet on February 28, 2015.  This is a competition where kids from 5th - 8th grade compete against each other by showing their skill at math calculation (in their heads, no working the problems on paper, timed tests) and science knowledge.  We usually have about 12 - 15 teams come to this meet, so we need volunteers to help proctor the test sessions and help grade the tests.

EVENT: Airmen Against Drunk Driving (AADD) Volunteers
REQUEST: Volunteers to cover CQ duty, drivers, and escorts
DATE/TIME:  Friday and Saturday nights; AADD volunteer shifts are from 2230 - 0230
LOCATION: Sheppard Lodging for CQ duty and on call for drivers and escorts

REQUEST: Help build a home for a local family
DATE:  Every Saturday

EVENT: Wichita Falls Community Orchestra
REQUEST: Violin/strings players to play with the orchestra
DATE/TIME: Concerts throughout the year volunteer times: WFCO rehearses Monday nights at 7 p.m. at the Fain Instrumental Hall at MSU (Teepee Street). We welcome all musicians (especially strings) and administrative volunteers. Formal auditions are not required. Good rehearsals mean good performances and although we realize not everyone can attend every rehearsal we do require a sincere level of commitment.
