10/3/2012 - SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Tech. Sgt. Sarah Hardison of the 362nd Training Squadron was named the the 82nd TRW "Commander's Wingman of Choice" award winner for the week of Oct 1-5 during the weekly wing staff meeting on Oct. 3.
The 82nd Training Wing "Commander's Wingman of Choice" award program is the commander's way of acknowledging Airmen for a job well done and to recognize Airmen who exemplify the spirit of the program.
Award recipients, who can be either military or government civilian employees, are nominated by their respective groups and also includes the wing staff agencies. Criteria for consideration include outstanding duty performance, community involvement and exemplary leadership.

What inspires you: "Having the opportunity to "train and inspire Airmen" and hoping to get through to a small percentage that, if they are willing to put in the work now, in the end, will pay off for the Air Force."
Future goals: Complete bachelor's degree, retire from the Air Force, move to the east coast and become a dental hygienist.
Greatest accomplishment: Taking classes and being only 11 classes from completing my degree
Hobbies, off-duty interests: Shopping and any time I can spend in NC with family.
Reason for submission: Orchestrated 362nd TRS Wingman Day for over 1,200 squadron members, permanent party and AiTs, military/civilian/contractors, four separate locations, more than 25 events, to include coordinating audio/visual support for most of those. The day would not have been as successful as it was without her exemplary leadership!

At the end of the event, 362nd TRS Airmen fully understood the value of having and being good Wingmen. It was successful beyond my expectations because of Tech. Sgt. Hardison was recognized with a wing coin presented by Col. Om Prakash, 82nd TRW vice-commander.
