The 82nd Training Wing "Commander's Wingman of Choice" award program is the commander's way of acknowledging Airmen for a job well done and to recognize Airmen who exemplify the spirit of the program.

Education: Northwestern High school

What inspires you: my family

Future goals: Earn my degree and apply to OTS

Greatest accomplishment: Restructured Defense Travel Service; ensured unit Defense Travel Administrators and approving officials had correct authorizations and forms on file, accepted lead DTS tech position, ensured files were inspection ready within six months of arriving Sheppard.  Lauded by AETC inspection team during the CI team.

Hobbies, off-duty interests: Spending time with friends and family. Watching anything to do with sports (especially Ohio State football!).

Reason for submission: In a short time here at Sheppard, Andrew has totally revamped the DTS program. He is very well known across the base and a few other bases for his outstanding customer service, going above and beyond to assist customers no matter what the problem is. Andrew has received countless positive customer critiques via the online Interactive Customer Evaluation (ICE) system, email and face to face. I definitely see the effects of his self motivation in the office. He inspires other individuals to "step up" their game.

Commander's comments: "A1C Dalton epitomizes the excellent customer service we strive for in our squadron. He recognizes that paying our folks accurately and on-time has a significant impact on their ability to do the mission; this holds true for our instructors, students, pilots, and support personnel. He always does more than what is expected of him. Not a week goes by where I am at a wing meeting or visiting another organization where someone doesn't mention to me the awesome support that A1C Dalton gave them on DTS or many other finance issues." - Lt Col James Becker
