Why is this person the Wingman of Choice? Tech. Sgt. Mejia has been in the IG for 2 years, and is headed back to 82 CS this month (May). While she's been here, she took a previously "Marginal-rated" self-assessment program to an "Outstanding" rating during the last CI. She was a professional performer during the CI and was coined as the NCO Top Performer by the AETC IG.
Additionally, she completed NCO Academy, Course 14, Senior Enlisted Joint PME (SEJPME) and was awarded the Professional Manager Certification through CCAF. She is currently finishing up a master's degree in Organizational Management with an emphasis in Leadership. On top of that, her husband is on his second 6-month deployment since arriving here (AFOSI), leaving her with 3 children under 4 years old at home. She's also been extremely involved with the SARC program, to include teaching self-defense classes.
Commander's name and comments: Lt Col William M.G. Manley - To say she is dedicated and focused is a drastic understatement - she's simply fantastic, and we in the IG and throughout the WSA will miss her when she moves to 82 CS.
