Concert promoters tour Sheppard

Brig. Gen. O.G. Mannon, 82nd Training Wing commander, points out the C-130 control panel to concert promoter Reed Glick and Multi Purpose Events Center Director, Bob Sullivan. The duo coordinated 1,000 free tickets that allowed base personnel and their families to attend the country music concert featuring Trace Adkins and Craig Morgan at the Kay Yeager Coliseum Feb. 21. The small group toured the 982nd Maintenance Squadron, 80th Flying Training Wing Euro NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training ramp, the Fifth Generation Maintenance Training Facility, and Hangar 1090 for some F-15 cockpit time. Michele Houck, center, accepts the award as the 80th Flying Training Wing's 2008 Senior Civilian of the Year, catagory II. The 80th FTW commander's secretary ensured that more than 1,200 appointments were met. Capt. Brian Wood, center, accepts the award as the 80th Flying Training Wing's 2008 Senior Instructo Pilot of the Year. The 89th Flying Training Squadron captain was recognized for creating the Euro NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training T-6 pilot instructor training program from scratch. The 88th Fighter Training Squadron captain was recognized for role as the chief of weapons and a T-38C Introduction to Fighter Fundamentals instructor pilot.
