New Rules New Rules
New Rules

By order of the 82nd Training Wing commander, the consumption of any alcoholic beverages by Sheppard personnel at Central Park has been banned effective Nov. 1. The general order, given by Brig. Gen. Scott Kindsvater after consultation with senior leaders across the base, applies to all military members assigned or attached to Sheppard, including those assigned to tenant units on the base. Crash Damaged Disabled Aircraft Recovery Crash Damaged  ...
Crash Damaged Disabled Aircraft Recovery

362nd Training Squadron, Crash Damaged Disabled Aircraft Recovery (CDDAR), used A26 ton airbag modules and associated equipment to completely lift a KC-135 Stratotanker on Oct. 29, 2013. Students work as a team to lift the aircraft off the ground a minimum of 8 inches which can be applied to any aircraft that has skidded off the runway, stuck in the mud, snow or any other terrain. Crash Damaged Disabled Aircraft Recovery Crash Damaged  ...
Crash Damaged Disabled Aircraft Recovery

362nd Training Squadron, Crash Damaged Disabled Aircraft Recovery (CDDAR), students trained on recovering an F-15 Eagle aircraft that experienced landing gear failure on Oct. 28, 2013. The training crews utilized a dedicated wire rope sling and a 55 ton crane to lift the aircraft to the proper height simulating placing the aircraft into a flatbed trailer to remove off the runway.
