Open House FAQs

1. When is Sheppard's Open House and Air Show?
Sheppard will host its Open House and Air show Oct. 20.

2. What time do the gates open for the public?
The Missile Road Gate will open at 9 a.m. for the public to enter the Open House. Guests to the Open House should follow the signs to the appropriate parking areas.  

3. What time do performances begin?
An opening ceremony will take place at 10:30 a.m., followed by the first performance at 11 a.m. Performances will continue until about 5 p.m.
4. Is there a schedule for performers? 
There is a list of performers, static cisplays and activities located on the Open House main page. Because the schedule of performers is continually changing, an exact schedule is not provided at this time. 

5. Can we take pictures?
Guests to the Open House will be allowed to take photos to capture a truly astounding performance by military and civilian pilots, as well as those special memories from other activities available throughout the day.

6. Will we be able to get on the airplanes/jets?
Some static displays will give guests an opportunity to see what a military pilot sees by climbing into the cockpit. However, there will be some aircraft that will be off limits to guests for security reasons. Please pay attention to warning signs and security forces personnel.
