SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas --

Col. Loren Graham assumed command of the 782nd Training Group during a change of command ceremony at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, July 13, 2018.

Brig. Gen. Ronald Jolly Sr., 82nd Training Wing commander, officiated the ceremony, during which Col. Allen Thibeaux relinquished command.

Graham, who most recently served as the deputy operations chief for Africa Command, expressed gratitude for his warm welcome to Sheppard and excitement to serve with the most diverse group in Air Education and Training Command.

 

Currently, the 782nd TRG is responsible for training more than 13,000 Airman in a diverse set of career fields ranging from explosive ordinance disposal to avionics. It is also responsible for detachments that provide media production and interactive coursework.

Before giving the stage to Graham, Thibeaux gave thanks for the opportunity to serve at Sheppard; during Thibeaux’s tenure, the 782nd TRG was able to reduce student attrition and increase follow-on training success rates, while reducing the average student dwell time at Sheppard.
