SFS, OSI urge vigilance during holidays

Eagle Eyes

Air Force Eagle Eyes

SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas --

As we gather with our loved ones during this special time of the year, please take time to closely examine your travel plans, holiday parties and attendance at large venue events to ensure you are both prepared and safe.

While low in our community, the threat from extremists and criminals is always possible and this holiday season is no different. While there are no new indicators of potential violent activity, service members and their families should maintain heightened situational awareness to help prevent tragedy.

If traveling outside the United States, ensure you first receive a travel briefing from the Air Force Office of Special Investigations detachment at Sheppard Air Force Base and your unit anti-terrorism representative. Foreign travel pre-brief times are every Tuesday at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the AFOSI conference room in Bldg. 1922.

As a reminder, we remain in force protection condition Bravo and everyone should report suspicious activity to the 82nd Security Forces Squadron through the Emergency Control Center at 940-676-2981 or by using the AFOSI Eagle Eyes hotline at 940-676-1852.
