Base leadership has authorized a two-hour delay for non-mission essential personnel Friday because of inclement weather.

Brig. Gen. Richard Devereaux, commander of the 82nd Training Wing, made the decision after assessing the accumulated precipitation and the anticipated forecast.

According to the National Weather Service in Norman, Okla., meteorologists at the center forecasted mostly cloudy skies for the night, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 17 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds were expected to be from the west/northwest a 19 to 22 mph, decreasing to between 9 and 12 mph. Winds were expected to gust as high as 33 mph.

There was a possibility of more nighttime snow accumulation of less than a half inch.

Friday's forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with highs near 43 degrees.
