Sabra Dipping Company: Voluntary Recall of Hummus Products

Sabra Dipping Co. is voluntarily recalling certain hummus products due to concerns about Listeria monocytogenes.

Listeria monocytogenes is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes life-threatening infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as fever, headaches, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea.

Sabra products not included in the recall are Sabra Organic Hummus, Sabra Salsa, Sabra Guacamole and Sabra Greek Yogurt Dips.

The 82nd Aerospace Medicine Squadron Public Health flight confirmed that Sheppard facilities did carry these products for sale. The products listed below are the items that were located on Sheppard and have been pulled from shelves and placed on medical hold.

UPC-040822011143 - 10 oz.

UPC-040822017497 - 17 oz.

UPC- 040822011112 - 2 oz.

UPC-040822011952 - 4.56 oz.
