SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas --

The 82nd Medical Group and the Wichita County Public Health District are partnering to conduct a joint flu line on Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Community Activity Center on Sheppard.  Vaccinations will be available at no cost for civilian and contractor personnel with Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP and Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO.  For those who have no health insurance, flu vaccinations will be available for a flat rate of $20.

Moreover, additional doses of the flu vaccine are being expedited to Sheppard in order to accommodate all Tricare beneficiaries (i.e., those who are regularly seen at the Sheppard AFB Clinic).

For more information regarding this flu line, please contact the 82d AMDS Public Health Flight at 676-1874 or 676-3052. For more information on vaccination fees, please visit the Wichita County Public Health District: http://www.wichitafallstx.gov/349/Immunization-Services
