Spectrum Winds brings sound of holidays to MSU, community Published Dec. 14, 2017 82nd Training Wing Public Affairs SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Spectrum Winds, an ensemble comprised of members from the Air Force Band of the West, brought the holiday spirit to Wichita Falls Dec. 13 with a special performance at Midwestern State University and other Wichita Falls-area public schools. The five-piece group performed traditional Christmas carols as well as popular versions of favorites such as “Frosty the Snowman” and “Winter Wonderland.” The performance ended with the playing of “Sleigh Ride,” which included percussionists from MSU. The Band of the West is located at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas.
