RSAF colonel receives Meritorious Service Medal Published June 18, 2018 By Airman Madeleine E. Remillard 82nd Training Wing Public Affairs SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – Royal Saudi air force Col. Bader M. Alotaibi received a Meritorious Service Medal for his outstanding achievements as senior country liaison officer at the 82nd Training Wing during a decoration presentation at Sheppard Air Force Base June 15, 2018. Through superior leadership and unmatched doctrinal knowledge, Alotaibi contributed to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to standardize training programs directly supporting the RSAF F-15SA program, the creation of the Memorandum of Agreement between the English Language Contractor, 82nd TRW and RSAF personnel. In addition to these accomplishments, Alotaibi led the effort to decrease the English Language Program’s attrition rate from 65 percent to zero. Alotaibi’s expertise in leadership and mission accomplishment are what made him deserving of the honor of the meritorious service medal. His actions reflect upon not only himself, but also the RSAF and his country. Col. Scott Belanger, 82nd TRW vice commander, presented Alotaibi with the medal and recognized his hard work as well as the bond between the Air Force and the RSAF, which has been strengthened because of Alotaibi’s distinctive accomplishments here at Sheppard.
