ICYMI: Sheppard participates in on-, off-base events Published Nov. 14, 2018 By John Ingle 82nd Training Wing Public Affairs SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Sheppard Air Force Base leadership and personnel hosted or participated in multiple events on and off base Nov. 9-10, 2018, showing its support of the men and women who wear the uniform as well as community partners. On Nov. 9, leadership and organizations participated in the Comanche Nation Youth Dancers presentation at Sheppard Elementary School, a Drill Down competition between training squadrons at the parade grounds and the NCO Induction Medallion Ceremony at the Sheppard Club. Sheppard's presence was made known off base Nov. 10 at two annual events including the Veterans' Day Parade in downtown Wichita Falls and Midwestern State University Mustang's Salute to the Military football game against West Texas A&M at Memorial Stadium in Wichita Falls.
