CLAY COUNTY, Texas – A throng camouflage-clad hunters from Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, converged on a ranch here Sept. 7, 2019, to experience what has become part of a North Texas tradition.

Birdwell & Clark Ranch owners Emry Birdwell and Deborah Clark hosted more than 100 Sheppard personnel for the 15th annual event as an appreciation event for their service to the country. Participants had the opportunity to compete in a sporting clay shooting contest, hunt a few birds and throw down some juicy, hand-cut steaks.
