Street repairs to begin on Fourth Avenue Published Oct. 1, 2019 82nd Civil Engineering Squadron SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – The roadway that runs parallel to the parade grounds and main swimming pool will be closed for street repairs beginning Oct. 16, 2019. Street repairs on Fourth Avenue between Avenues J and H will take place between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Work is scheduled to be completed in one day. The contractor will place “Road Closed” signs to close the street temporarily to all traffic. Please note Avenue I will not have through traffic at Fourth Avenue. Drivers are requested to please respect barricades and to be alert for construction vehicles entering and exiting the work location. Pedestrians should avoid the area and use alternative travel routes. For this work to be completed quickly and safely, we ask for your patience and cooperation during the construction.
