9 Airmen receive Article 15s under UCMJ

SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas – Nine Sheppard Airmen received non-judicial punishment for their actions as well as an Article 15 under the Uniformed Code of Military Justice.

An airman from the 363rd Training Squadron received non-judicial punishment for two violations of the UCMJ. The first violation is of Article 92, failure to obey Air Force Instruction 90-507, wrongfully using an intoxicating substance, a synthetic cannabinoid found in vape juice. Second, a violation of Article 134, for conduct prejudicial to good order and discipline; consuming alcohol under the legal drinking age of 21. The punishment included forfeiture of $840 pay and a reprimand.

An airman first class from the 365th TRS received non-judicial punishment for one violation of the UCMJ.  In violation of Article 120, sexual assault, causing bodily harm to another person. The punishment included reduction to E-1, forfeiture of $840 per month for two months (one month suspended for six months), and a reprimand.

A staff sergeant from the 365th TRS received non-judicial punishment for the violation of Article 112a, wrongful use of a controlled substance. The punishment included reduction to E-4 (suspended for six months), forfeitures of $1,332 pay per month for two months (one month suspended for six months), and a reprimand.

An airman first class from the 366th TRS received non-judicial punishment for four violations of the UCMJ.  Violations included one of Article 92, dereliction of duty; one violation of Article 107, false official statement; and two violations of Article 134, conduct prejudicial to good order and discipline. The punishment included reduction to E-1 (reduction below E-2 suspended for six months) and a reprimand.

An airman from the 364th TRS received non-judicial punishment for one violation of the UCMJ. The Airman violated Article 92, failure to obey Air Force Instruction 90-507, wrongfully using substances to alter mood or function, by abusing over-the-counter medication. The punishment included reduction to E-1, forfeiture of $840 pay (suspended for six months), and a reprimand. The suspension was vacated because the Airman committed additional misconduct.

An airman from the 365th TRS received non-judicial punishment for violating UCMJ Article 92, dereliction of duty through negligence, by failing to report for accountability. The punishment included forfeiture of $840 pay and a reprimand.

An airman from the 365th TRS received non-judicial punishment for violating UCMJ Article 134, for conduct prejudicial to good order and discipline, by providing alcohol to a minor. The punishment included reduction to E-1, forfeitures of $840 per month for two months (suspended for 6 months), and a reprimand.

An airman first class from the 366th TRS received non-judicial punishment for five violations of the UCMJ. First, the Airman violated Article 92, dereliction of duty for culpable inefficiency through negligence. Second, the airman violated Article 107 by making false official statements. Lastly, the Airman had three violations of Article 134, for obstructing justice. The punishment included reduction to E-1 and a reprimand.

An airman from the 366th TRS received non-judicial punishment for violating Article 121, larceny from the Base Exchange. The punishment included reduction to E-2 and forfeiture of $366 pay (suspended for six months).
