FROM THE 82d LOGISTICS READINESS SQUADRON
Effective 11 April all customers of the 82 LRS Mobility Section will have to have a PIN to issue any gear from the Material Management IT System. This is an AF-wide change to the IT system that 82 LRS cannot override. Prior to coming to get deployment, chemical warfare training gear, gas masks, body armor, etc. customers will need to register for a PIN at https://ils-s.cce.af.mil/ilss/.
This will affect anyone deploying, all 82 SFS personnel, anyone going to chemical warfare training, and anyone participating in an ATSO/Deployment Training Exercise or ATSO training day.
We apologize for this inconvenience. This was a change to the IT system that we were not aware of previously.

SAFETY CORNER – DISTRACTED DRIVING
April is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month! Driving distracted does not only mean texting and driving. Whether it be talking on the phone or to others in the car, dealing with our kids, setting our navigation, changing the playlist, drinking coffee or eating our Chick-fil-A nuggets…driving distracted is robbing us of seconds that we may need to avoid a close call or deadly crash.
Quick Tips
- 3,142 people were killed in 2020 due to distracted driving.
- Drive responsibly-think about what you are doing when you are behind the wheel.
- Text you L8r G8r! Drive safe, arrive safe.
- Increased law enforcement on roadways for “U Text. U Drive. U Pay.” campaign.
- 48 states ban texting while driving; 25 states ban handheld phones while driving.
- Take action! Set a positive example to make a change!
- Remind family and friends to put the phone away while driving.
