Drowsy driving is something we don’t always take into consideration. Driving drowsy kills-but it is preventable! Quick Tips: In 2020 there was 633 deaths from drowsy driving-related crashes. Drive responsibly-think twice before you get behind the wheel. Alcohol increases drowsiness-don’t drink & drive! Get adequate sleep; 7 to 8 or you should wait! Check labels on prescription and OTC drugs. 3 factors: Frequently occur between midnight & 0600 or late in the afternoon; Often a single driver w/no passengers; Frequently occur on rural roads & highways.
