With the SSgt Release coming soon we are looking for a few positions to be filled that include: Proffer, Emcee, Decorations, Set up/Tear down, Audio Support

*The time/date is tentative as we do not have the results yet for the members who made it. We are mainly just looking to fill those positions for when the time comes.

SAFETY CORNER – OSHA’S SAFE + SOUND WEEK, 7-13 AUG 2023

Safe + Sound Week is a nationwide event held each August, and The Department of the Air Force partners with OSHA for this event too! This week recognizes the successes of workplace health and safety programs and offers information and ideas on how to keep America’s workers safe. This year, Safe + Sound Week will provide resources on mental health and well-being. This week can have lasting effects on your workplace and employees… Get out there, lead by example, and make safety personal!

  • How to access the MHS Patient Portal:

Visit patientportal.mhsgenesis.health.mil. Beneficiaries can log in using their DS Logon.

 

A free Premium Access (Level 2) account is required to view the health record. The DS Logon Premium account allows you to view personal data about yourself in the Department of Defense and Department of Veterans Affairs systems, apply for benefits online, check the status of your claims, update your address information, and more.

 

Log in to milCONNECT and create your DS Logon. Beneficiaries with an existing DS Logon should upgrade their account to Premium Access. A link to the "My Access Center" is available on the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal landing page to direct patients on how to get their DS Logon credentials.

  • How to send a message to your provider team:

Once you are logged in to the Patient Portal, select the "Messaging" tab at the top of the page.

Select "Send a message".

Select the patient you are sending the message on behalf of from the drop down menu.

In the "To" field, type "Sheppard", and the available options for clinic/provider will show in the drop down menu. Select the clinic/provider you would like to message.

Enter your Subject and Message and attach any necessary files as applicable.

Select "Send" when you have completed your message.

 

  • How to schedule an appointment through Patient Portal:

Once you are logged in to the Patient Portal, select the "Appointments" tab at the top of the menu.

Select "Schedule a New Appointment" from the left column.

Select the patient you want to schedule an appointment for from the drop down menu.

***For "How would you like to begin your search?", select "Visit Reason".

For "Choose a reason for your visit", select the clinic and type of appointment you would like to schedule and "Search".

For "Choose a location", select the "Air Force Medicine Sheppard..." option from the drop down menu and "Next".

Select one of the appointment options from the listing.

Enter the reason for your visit. Select the best way to contact you and "Schedule Appointment".

 

***If an error displays and/or the message displays that says "No results found", this signifies there are no bookable available appointments. Please contact the Sheppard medical appointment line at 940-676-2273 during duty hours (M-F, 0700-1600, excluding holidays and training days) to leave a message for the patient's provider team.
