"Wingman of Choice" joins SNCO ranks with STEP promotion Published July 10, 2013 SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- When Tech. Sgt. Nadia Lozano walked into the 82nd Training Wing's weekly staff meeting July 10, she had no idea what she was walking into. After being told she had been selected as the commander's "Wingman of Choice" for the week, she got an even bigger surprise as 82nd TRW commander Brig. Gen. Michael Fantini and Command Chief Master Sgt. Eric Johnson presented her with a set of master sergeant stripes earned through the Stripes for Exceptional Performers, a program that awards promotions to individuals who have exceeded the standard of excellence in their career field. The 82nd Training Wing "Commander's Wingman of Choice" award program is the commander's way of acknowledging Airmen for a job well done and to recognize Airmen who exemplify the spirit of the program. Criteria for consideration include outstanding duty performance, community involvement and exemplary leadership. Name and rank: Master Sgt. Sergeant Lozano leads by example in everything she does, if you want something done right the first time and every time this is the NCO to go to. She supervises three junior NCOs whom consistenly generate quality products. During the high point of our permanant change of station season she oversaw the inbound and outbound of over late reports. Furthermore, Sergeant Lozano ensures the timely completion of all 82 TRW taskers, to include 2nd AF, AETC and congressional requirements. Finally, her keen attention to detail lauded her $20,750 equipment account a "zero discrepancy" during an SAV inspection. Sergeant Lozano truly is the face of the 82 TRW!
