This coming Wednesday on May 15 at 5:00 PM, there will be a "Run for Boston" memorial and fundraiser at the Sheppard 1-mile track. It is an event that is being put on to honor and raise money for the 282 victims of the Boston Marathon bombing that occurred on April 15.

There is no cost to participate and no official registration process. The goal is to cumulatively run or walk 282 miles, one for each person who was harmed and killed on the day of the Boston Marathon bombing.

The event is not timed and there is no set distance that you must complete. There will be runners and walkers alike. Strollers and joggers are welcome on the day of the event.

Participants will be provided with a bracelet and a lap counter will be used to track the number of miles completed by all of the participants. There will be a table set up at the 1-mile track where you may sign the guest book, make a donation, or buy a t-shirt.

All of the donations and proceeds will go to One Fund Boston.
