Tim Raines of the 365th Training Squadron was named the the 82nd TRW "Commander's Wingman of Choice" award winner for the week of Feb. 11-15. The 82nd Training Wing "Commander's Wingman of Choice" award program is the commander's way of acknowledging Airmen for a job well done and to recognize Airmen who exemplify the spirit of the program. Criteria for consideration include outstanding duty performance, community involvement and exemplary leadership. Go by name: Tech. Sgt. Future goals: To make master sergeant, finish my masters degree and attend the first sergeant academy. Reason for submission: - Sergeant Raines has stepped up into the vacant First Sergeant billet and has performed like a seasoned shirt. In the last couple months, he has transitioned from the class room to the role and has the best turnaround time for Article 15 processing time by being 6 days below the wing average. Also he executed a no notice morale and welfare check of the dormitory to ensure the safety of the 600 residents. He is also active within the community by raising $500 for the Wounded Warrior Project. Commander's comments: Tech. Sgt. Raines has phenomenal drive and motivation. A diamond is in his future. He makes a commander not mind waiting his turn for a new shirt to be assigned. Not many people would step into the fire of shirt duty, especially at a training base.
