The 82nd Training Wing "Commander's Wingman of Choice" award program is the commander's way of acknowledging Airmen for a job well done and to recognize Airmen who exemplify the spirit of the program. Criteria for consideration include outstanding duty performance, community involvement and exemplary leadership. Hobbies, off-duty interest: Church choir, assistant church treasurer, bowling, golf, football (favorite team: Denver and Green Bay, Little Bull Dogs; favorite player: Robert and David, Little Bulldogs), basketball. Reason for submission: Brenda has kept our 98-person/9 flight squadron on track with critical timelines, performance reports, decorations and official correspondence for the last five years--in between receiving phone calls and office visitors. This has included tracking, drafting and routing more than 100 appointment & policy letters. Brenda's prior experience as a personnelist and her willingness to "go above and beyond" her job description has been invaluable. As the squadron liaison to the MPF, she tackled and corrected more than 50 errors in our military members' records in the last year alone. Brenda is well-known as the "go-to" person in the group for records management, personnel and correspondence expertise; more often than not, you'll see her mentoring someone else.
