Airman 1st Class Zachary ZeZeus received the ACE Award upon graduation from the 362nd Training Squadron's F-16 Mission Ready Airman (crew chief) apprentice course Nov. 7.

The ACE award is the highest academic honor a student can receive and is earned for exceptional performance by maintaining a perfect 100% average through the entire course.

The F-16 MRA course covers eight blocks of instruction over aircraft fundamentals, maintenance documentation, airframe, electrical, utility systems, hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, engines, and inspections.

The course uses nine F-16 aircraft and multiple indoor simulation trainers that allow students hands-on training with real aircraft and aerospace systems.

ZeZeus who is from Gainesville, Va., is assigned to the Air National Guard's 113th Wing at Joint Base Andrews. Md.  He will travel to Luke Air Force Base, Ariz., for follow on training before returning to his home unit.
