On May 3, 2012, the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality (TCEQ) directed Sheppard AFB PWS to issue a boil water notification for the employees and patrons of the 982nd Maintenance Squadron assigned to Bldg 1360, Sheppard AFB, TX 76311.  The notification was to inform the patrons of bldg 1360 that on May 3, 2012, Defense Support Services was required to disconnect the water supply in the mechanical room located in bldg 1360 in order to perform routine maintenance.  Defense Support Services believed this would cause the water pressure in the building to drop below 20 psi, but they were able to conduct the required repairs and maintain proper pressure in the system.

The Bioenvironmental Engineering office was not required to collect representative water samples from Bldg 1360 according to TCEQ. The system maintained the water pressure required and the quality of the water is safe to drink.

We would like to apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced during this time and thank you for your patience while we resolved this issue. If you have any questions regarding the drinking water quality, please contact TSgt Holt or Capt Brathwaite at extension 676-3080.
