Last year Sheppard raised 113,611 and received $147,582 in AFAF loans and grants which helped 244 Sheppard Airmen. The AFAF campaign is an annual fundraiser that supports different and very important parts of the Air Force community. All members can help by donating to one or more of the four funds which include the Air Force Aid Society, the Air Force villages, Air Force Enlisted Villages and the General and Mrs. Curtis E. LeMay Foundation. Each fund helps a part of the Air Force community, whether it is supporting active duty members with emergency grants and interest-free loans or providing financial help to widowed Air Force members. Each unit will have a person of contact who will be distributing and collecting AFAF campaign brochures and donation forms during the next six weeks.
