Boil Water Notice rescinded Published Feb. 2, 2012 By Sheppard Bioenvironmental Engineering Office SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- On Jan. 31, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) required Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, to issue a Boil Water Notice (BWN). The notice informed employees of Bldg. 5 that due to a water line break that occurred on the south side of Fifth Avenue between Avenues C and D, the water from their system was to be boiled prior to consumption. Sheppard has taken the necessary corrective actions to repair the water lines and restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling.
