82nd TRW announces 2011 Annual Award winners Published Jan. 23, 2012 By Capt. Brittany Martin 82nd Training Wing Public Affairs WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- The 82nd Training Wing announced its Annual Award winners Jan. 20 during a banquet at the Wichita Falls Country Club. To begin the evening, each nominee was presented a medallion by the guest speaker, Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force #14 Gerald Murray, and was congratulated by base leadership. Murray gave a presentation before the winners were announced. He recounted what great lives we as Americans lead, and then spoke about some of the challenges that face our country today. Quoting Martin Luther King Jr. and former President John F. Kennedy, he encouraged each member of the audience to demonstrate his citizenship through liberty, equality and doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. He acknowledged that he was talking to a crowd with the potential to do so because they move mountains every day through mission accomplishment, community service and taking care of others.
