Boil Water Notice effective Oct. 25

SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Effective Oct. 25 at 8 a.m., in accordance with the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality, Sheppard Air Force Base has been directed to issue a Boil Water Notification for the residents of buildings 596 (Hogan Hall) and 776 (Cooper Hall), the staff and patrons frequenting buildings 631 (Area Defense Council) and 551 (Post Office), and all facilities affected by the loss of pressure. This notification is required due to the expected loss of pressure in the drinking water system below 20 pounds per square inch during scheduled maintenance on the 16-inch water main running adjacent to Ave. I on Oct. 25.

When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, a Discontinue Notice will be issued in the same manner as this notice, i.e. email, base web page, or public delivery.
