Boil water notice effective Oct. 11

SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Effective immediately, In accordance with the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Sheppard AFB has been directed to issue a Boil Water Notification for the residents of buildings 776 and 596, and the employees and patrons of buildings 551 and 631. This notification is required due to a loss of pressure in the drinking water system because of a water main break on Oct. 10, 2011, that effectively rendered these locations without water pressure greater than 20 pounds per square inch (psi) for an extended duration of time.

When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, a Discontinue Notice will be issued in the same manner as this notice, i.e. email, base webpage, or public delivery.
