During the first week of June, Bioenvironmental Engineering pulled drinking water samples on Tuesday, May 31.

TCEQ has ruled that those samples do not count for the month of June; therefore, only 12 of the 15 required water samples were collected that month.

Failure to collect all of the required bacteriological samples is a violation of the monitoring requirements, and the 82nd Medical Group Bioenvironmental Engineering Flight is required to notify Sheppard's population of this violation.

Sheppard's Potable Water System is routinely monitored and did maintain the required chlorine residual throughout the system at that time; therefore, Sheppard's potable water was safe to drink.

Please refer to the official memorandum for further details.
