Avenue H near Solid Rock Café to reopen as two-way stop Published Aug. 16, 2011 By John Gilmore 82nd Civil Engineer Squadron SHEPPARD AFB, Texas -- On or around Aug. 22, Avenue H between 4th Avenue and 5th Avenue will be reopened to traffic. Civil Engineering will remove the stop sign that faces southbound Avenue H traffic at 5th Avenue as well as the Avenue H "Road Closed" barriers located at either end of the block. After the reopening, traffic will be able to travel the full length of Avenue H, from 1st Avenue to 9th Avenue, without stopping. Please remember that established driving patterns are difficult to break and changes hard to adjust to.
