The Memorial Auditorium in downtown Wichita Falls, Texas, was packed tight March 15 and the crowd was astonished as Tops in Blue, the Air Force's premier entertainment showcase, performed.

This year's performance theme "We Believe" provided more than just a morale boost, they provided a performance many will not forget.

Mindy Cameron, Tops in Blue tour manager, said the theme "We Believe" stands for "believing in our country, in our military troops and the families and those who help support them."

"Our mission is to provide morale and create a transformation from where ever they are and bring them into the world of Tops in Blue," she said. "Performing for Tops in Blue is our opportunity to do something we love and have a positive impact on the people while we are doing it."

Ms. Cameron said she was a vocalist in the Tops in Blue group in 2000 when she was an active duty Airman and is thankful to be able to come back as the tour manager.

"Our team works really hard and we have just the right mix," she said. "When your team is positive you can make anything happen."

The Tops in Blue tour is not just performing Ms. Cameron said. The group spends one year on the tour and works an average of 18 hours a day between performing as well as the set up and take down of the stage and props.

"As members we are away from our families a lot while we are on this tour, but it is gratifying to truly give back to the Airmen who are away from home or their families, too," she said. "It gives us a special connection with them. It's not always the 'glitz and glam' that you saw tonight, but it's an opportunity of a life time," she said. "I wouldn't trade this opportunity for anything."
