Notification of sampling violation Published July 14, 2010 82nd Medical Group SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- During the last week of May, one of Sheppard's 15 state approved water sampling locations was down for repairs. This resulted in only 14 of the 15 required water samples to be collected that month. Failure to collect all of the required bacteriological samples is a violation of the monitoring requirements and the 82nd Medical Group Bioenvironmental Engineering Flight is required to notify Sheppard's population of this violation. Sheppard's Potable Water System did maintain the required chlorine residual throughout the system at that time. Therefore, Sheppard's potable water was safe to drink.
