Freedom Fest still on for July 3

SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Despite gloomy remnants of Hurricane Alex, Sheppard Air Force Base is moving forward with today's (July 3) Freedom Fest Celebration.

The sand volleyball tournament is underway and the Hospital Gate will open to the general public at 1 p.m. for a car show, games, fun and food. Admission is free to the event, as are the activities available. Food and drink are available for purchase.
