Tax Center to close soon

SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas --  Tax season is more than half way done, and about five weeks remain until April 15, the deadline to file state and federal tax returns. Please ensure personnel, particularly students, know about the opportunity they have at the Sheppard Tax Center to have their tax returns completed and e-filed for free.

The tax center, located at the legal office, is open until April 15 for all military members, retirees and civilian employees. Everyone is encouraged to complete their taxes before that week.

Express-Filing service is available for those that are single, without dependents and meet other criteria. This allows an Airman to drop their tax return information off at the tax center and then pick up their completed tax return three to five days later.

The Tax Center is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for everyone. Extended hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. for students and instructors only. For questions please call the Tax Center at 676-2446.
