Despite national media reports that 800,000 doses of pediatric H1N1 doses have been recalled, officials at the 82nd Medical Group said the shipment they received is not included.

Maj. Brian Young, the Medical Services flight commander, said the 82nd MDG has researched the shipment it recently received, specifically those for children 6 months to about 3 years old.

"Our shipment was not included in the recall announced Dec. 15," he said. "Therefore, all who received the vaccination on Dec. 5 and Dec. 15 are not affected."

The major encouraged those who are concerned about the recall to visit the Center for Disease Control's Web site at www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/vaccination/syringes_qa.htm.
