Sheppard on track to CFC goal Published Oct. 1, 2009 By Airman 1st Class Adawn Kelsey 82nd Training Wing Public Affairs SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Sheppard is getting close to reaching the $256,000 goal during the third week of the Combined Federal Campaign fundraiser. "We are definitely on the right track of reaching our goal this year but we are lagging compared to last year's results," said Lt. Col. Michael Braucher, 365th Training Squadron commander and Sheppard's CFC chairman. Of the 8,000 eligible contributors a low of roughly 1,100 people have contributed so far during this year's fundraiser. "It's not about reaching our goal, it's about encouraging each person to give a little to whichever charity that they believe in or care about the most," he said. Donations are still being accepted through Oct. 9. For any questions colonel Braucher can be reached by phone at 676-6323 or Master Sgt. Michael Nelson, CFC operations executive at 676-6323. There is also a CFC website that can be visited and a list of this year's charities can be found at www.opm.gov/cfc.
