Bracketology is coming to Sheppard through the Air Force's National College Athletic Association March Madness online bracket tournament promotion.

Game pieces are available at participating Services Division food and beverage activities, no purchase required. Register is done online using the code on the game piece.

Participants can begin filling out brackets March 15. As many as 10 brackets may be played. Picks can be made and changed, but final decisions for all rounds must be submitted by 6 a.m. EST March 19. Participants must be 18 years or older.

"In addition to competing in the online tournament, folks should stop by one of our activities; they are great places to watch the games. Throughout the tournament, you can find some fantastic specials at our food and beverage activities," said Jim Vose, Director,82nd Services Division.

Picking the winning team in each game of the NCAA men's basketball tournament will accumulate points. The tournament is single elimination and only the winning team advances to the next round. The competition begins with 64 teams and half are eliminated during each round.

The first place winner will receive a trip for four to the 2010 Final Four Game for three days and two nights. Hotel, air travel, car rental, game tickets and $1,000 spending money are sponsored in part by Coca Cola.

The second place prize is $5,000; third place is $2,500; fourth place is $1,000; and five subsequent winners will win a Coca Cola NCAA Pop-A-Shot arcade home-style basketball game.

"Every year, basketball fans wait for the tradition, the excitement, and the upsets that accompany the NCAA tournament. We are thrilled to be able to take part in this by offering a fun and competitive activity," said Heather Newsom, 82nd Services Division, marketing director.
