Contractor to meet with military, civil service personnel

The contractor selected to steer Sheppard's civil engineering endeavors into the future has been selected and was on base Feb. 12-13 to talk to leadership, military and civil service personnel. 

Defense Support Services, LLC, or DS2, based out of Mount Laurel, N.J., is a multi-faceted company that supports aircraft platforms, ground equipment maintenance, ship operations and training and facility maintenance. DS2 was selected during the A-76 Cost Comparison to perform facility maintenance, typically accomplished by the 82nd Civil Engineer Squadron. 

Members of DS2 will meet with any base personnel, specifically those affected by the A-76 process, Feb. 12 and 13 at the North Chapel Annex. They will be available from 12:30-4:30 p.m. Feb. 12 and 8-10 a.m. Feb. 13.

Not only will DS2 service Sheppard, it is currently servicing other Air Force locations in the United States such as Minot Air Force Base, N.D., Mountain Home AFB, Idaho, Travis AFB, Calif., Tinker AFB, Okla., Little Rock AFB, Ark., Barksdale AFB, La., Eglin AFB, Fla., Seymour-Johnson AFB, N.C., Langley AFB, Va., and Dover AFB, Del.
