Gen. Tom D. Miller, Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Engineering and Force Protection at Headquarters U.S. Air Force. “Agile, transformative Airmen are central to our Basing and Logistics Enterprise Strategy and form the foundation for persistent wartime logistics. For most of our logistics career fields, the pathway goes through Sheppard Air Force Base and the 82nd Training Wing.” The 82nd’s three training groups provide initial skills, advanced, specialty and upgrade training for more than 65,000 graduates annually in about 1,000 courses across 73 career fields. “Our vision is to be the Air Force Center of Excellence for Maintenance, Munitions, Nuclear Operations, Logistics and Engineering,” said 82 TRW Commander Brig.
