The 82nd Services Division is currently holding a Sheppard Club membership drive until October 15 to encourage Airmen to join the club.
The club is offering incentives for new members such as six months free of monthly dues, a choice between two membership cards, and an opportunity to win in a scratch-off.

For the first time ever, members have the ability to choose between a credit card or a membership card without the credit option.

"Our clubs have been the best place for Airmen to come together and unwind while off-duty," said Heather Newsom, chief of the Services Marketing Department.

In the past club members have felt like they were paying for a membership that doesn't give much in return, but in order to give the membership more value the club is doing more in return for club membership.

The savings a member receives are much better than the club has ever offered, she said. A membership can easily pay for itself.

Some other incentives they are using are their cash back rewards where members can receive cash or rewards through points. The monthly coupons now offer savings at the club, the base bowling centers, Lake Texoma, Wind Creek Golf Course, Auto Skills, Juice & Java, Brew U, and ITT.

She also said to bring back the camaraderie in the squadrons they are offering squadron challenges. The more members or percentage of club members in a squadron, the more credit that squadron has towards club functions.
